Villa Mirage

We loved the villa. Great spacious and the most lovely generous hosts. They helped us with recommendations to explore and spoilt us with gifts and surprises. The villa has been decorated with love to a very high standard. Each room has its own features and bathroom with powerful showers and lots of hot water. We walked in to the village and used the local taverns where we had delicious food. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Villa encore mieux qu’en photo ! Tout était parfait : localisation, confort, qualité de l’hébergement. La piscine est de taille adéquate, tout ce qu’il faut pour se détendre après une journée de découverte de cette splendide région! Literie de haute qualité, finitions parfaites de l’hébergement et équipements au top ! Un vrai bijou super bien entretenu et qui dispose de tout le confort dont on apprécie la présence en voyage !
La localisation dans le village tranquille de kournas est un énorme plus : tranquillité et bienveillance assurées ! Les tavernes à proximité sont épatantes !
Nos hôtes étaient charmants et au petit soin, l’accueil chaleureux a été hautement apprécié. Les échanges étaient fluides et d’une rare bienveillance.
C’est de loin la meilleure expérience de voyage que nous ayons eu! Je recommande à 300%.
Si nous devions retourner en Crète, c’est ici que nous reviendrions sans hésiter.

Great villa, outstanding service from the Owners. Great heated (!) Pool. 10 Minutes to the Beach by car.

Casa bellissima, accoglienza perfetta da parte dei proprietari. Ci siamo sentiti come a casa i anche meglio. La casa è meglio che in foto, a due passi da ottime taverne.

Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt. Es war noch schöner als auf den Bildern und es hatte an nichts gefehlt. Ich würde die Unterkunft jedem empfehlen. Alles wichtige ist schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die hosts sind immer erreichbar und können die besten Empfehlungen für die Umgebung geben. Vielen Dank!

Nous avons séjourné en famille dans ce logement et tout a été absolument parfait. L’endroit est spacieux, décoré avec beaucoup de goût et d’une propreté irréprochable. Tout est pensé pour le confort des voyageurs, ce qui nous a permis de profiter pleinement de notre séjour. Les hôtes sont d’une grande gentillesse, très disponibles et toujours attentifs à nos besoins (gâteau maison, cadeaux à l arrivée et au u départ (produits locaux) Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce séjour et recommandons ce logement sans réserve.

We had an excellent stay in the beautiful village of Kournas. The villa had everything we needed and was beautifully finished. Our hosts were very generous and made sure we had everything to make our stay perfect.

Die Villa war wirklich sehr sehr schön. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich mit Willkommens Grüßen wie Obst und Wein. Einen eigenen Parkplatz gibt es auch! Der wlan Empfang war etwas langsam… Empfang gab es nur selten also wer wirklich abschalten will, kann es hier. Was uns etwas gefehlt hat waren die Küchengeräte… davon hätten wir mehr und in größeren Varianten gebraucht. z.b. ein Nudelsieb das 1kg Nudeln auffangen kann, oder eine Zitronenpresse. Die Zimmer waren traumhaft schön eingerichtet was uns da gefehlt hat war einen (großer Spiegel) wir konnten unsere Outfits leider nicht ganz betrachten. Ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt! die Sonnenuntergänge sind traumhaft schön von der Terrasse zu beobachten. Am Ende gab es noch ein kleines Abschiedsgeschenk, was uns wirklich sehr gefreut hat.

Wir hatten Ende Oktober eine herrliche Woche auf Kreta und haben den Aufenthalt in der Villa sehr genossen. In der Realität ist die Villa noch schöner als auf den Fotos und liegt verwinkelt in einer autofreien Seitengasse, sodass es sehr ruhig ist. Von der großzügigen Dachterrasse aus hat man einen sehr schönen Blick über das Dörfchen und auch aufs Meer. Der Blick vom Pool auf die angrenzenden Berge ist ebenso malerisch. Unsere Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke dafür! In der Taverne im Dorf kann man lecker essen und morgens gibt es frisches Brot vom Bäcker.

Easily 5+ star accommodation. The property is stunning with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. My family and I were very comfortable here and it served as a perfect home base as we explored the surrounding area. You definitely need a car for easy accessibility. Katerina & George were exceptional hosts, very welcoming and thoughtful.

Kurzfassung: perfekt! längere Version: es war perfekt! Die Eigentümer haben uns rechtzeitig eine genaue Wegbeschreibung gesendet und haben uns sehr herzlich und mit Geschenken empfangen. Sie sind unglaublich lieb und sind jederzeit für Rat und Tat bereit! Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und super sauber! Anders als in der Beschreibung angegeben, gibt es sogar einen privaten Parkplatz. Während unseres Aufenthalts wurde die Villa einmal komplett gereinigt und alle Handtücher ausgetauscht. Wir wurden sogar mit einem selbst gebackenen Kuchen überrascht. Als es nun leider an den Abschied ging, waren beide wieder vor Ort, unglaublich freundlich und mit Abschiedsgeschenken für uns ausgestattet. Wir können die Villa und auch den Kournas See nur empfehlen.! Danke das wir da sein durften! :) Und empfehlen auch allen bei der Taverne Kali Kardia, ein paar Meter entfernt, essen zu gehen! Es schmeckt unglaublich, ist extrem günstig entgegen der Touristen Restaurants und alle sind sooo freundlich!

Our stay in the villa Mirage was excellent. The hosts were very acommodating and as flexible as possible regarding our arrival and leaving times. The villa was cleaned twice per week and was decorated tastefully and with all modern amenities while still fitting into the local mountain villiage setting. Especially the host's hospitability with attention to detail made our stay in Kournas memorable. The little village has 3 good taverns and considering that in combination with the pool on the roof terrace, you wouldn't have to leave the house to have a good day! However, the location is great to explore several beaches within a 10-15 minutes drive, as well as lake Kournas or go hikes into the mountain area . It was easy to reach within 1 hour from Chania (inkl. their airport) and also Rethymno was only half an hour drive away. So yes, you need a car, but with a car the location is really good.

The photos are stunning and the place is even better. A beautiful property that is so well looked after and clearly a labour of love from the owners rather than just a business. There was plenty of room for our family seven and a nice layout to the place. Every little detail throughout had been well considered and everything was of a really high spec. Well above and beyond what we could have hoped. The pool on the roof a great addition to take the edge off the Cretan summer. The owners personally greeted us, were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. Kournas is lovely too. Very small and peaceful but still has three good tavernas within about a minute’s walk from the property. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The village, very calm and idéal to visit surroundings. The hosts, Katarina and George are very available and helpful to give tourist information and take a lot of care. Very much appreciated.

WOW!! Most amazing home experience and incredible hosts we have ever met. The villa was beautiful and spotless, super clean and stunning!! Katerina and george are the kindest friendliest hosts who made us feel like home. They gave us many recommendations, offered to clean the villa every few days, and gave us welcoming and goodbye gifts! Would recommend 10/10 Best regards, Sylvia & Borgar
